Outlook2SOC™Exporting MS Outlook Contacts into SendOutCards.com Is a Microsoft Outlook 2007 add-in that enables you to upload your contact(s) directly into the SendOutCards.com service eliminating the double entry of contacts or the need to export them out of Outlook into MS Excel clean up the file... and save that file as a TAB delimited file, than map the fields to SendOutCards.com import tool and THEN your ready to import into SOC. Whew... If your not computer savvy, that can be a daunting task! Well with Outlook2SOC™ you can do ALL that with just a click of a button your contact(s) are automatically uploaded into the SOC system! Saving you that ton time! By the way all this happens without you leaving MS Outlook! You begin by login into you SOC account.
Then you select what you want to do...
You can upload a SINGLE contact, ALL your contacts or MORE IMPORTANTLY contacts that are associated with a specific category!
Imagine going to a networking event, meeting a bunch of prospective clients and you would like to send them follow-up cards (as a good networker...). Well now you can that within minutes!. Simply add you contacts to MS Outlook (some of you use Cardscan and sync them to MS Outlook), assign them to a Category, then simply import that Category directly into SOC using Outlook2SOC™! Oh, here's the REALLY cool part! Outlook2SOC™ allows you to map MS Outlook Categories to SOC Groups! So if you already have Groups assigned in SOC, no worries, you contacts with automatically be associated to the right SOC Group. Add you NEVER left MS Outlook!
Additionally... I think this ROCKS! If the Category/Group doesn't existing in SOC... Outlook2SOC™ will ask you if you would like to create the group is SOC and then creates it! You can even list your contact via a Categories and then right click on a given contact to upload them into SOC.
As you know you can have multiple addresses for a contact within MS Outlook. Well, Outlook2SOC™ takes that into consideration and enables you to select which address you would like to upload into SOC! Now that's SMART!
You can define your export profiles to match SOC's import profiles. Add if you really wanna go nuts in managing your export/import profile you can complete customize it!
So, you could say we've thrown in the Kitchen sink too :-) Sending a Contact a SOC Card from within MS Outlook You can open up a MS Outlook Contact and you'll notice that there is a button that says Send Card in the menu.
You can also right click on a list of contacts and in the right menu you'll also see an option to Send Card.
Once you've sent the Contact a card you can have Outlook2SOC™ update the journal entries in MS Outlook of when you sent that Contact a card!
This gives you that ability not only knowing when you've uploaded them in SOC, but also when you sent them a card. Oh, I almost forgot... it doesn't matter if you used Outlook2SOC™ to send them a card. Outlook2SOC™ will query SOC and update the journal entry of MS Outlook of ALL the cards you sent someone!!
